• I would like to give not only an opinion but facts about the "ongoing Somali conflict" and Why Kenya is wrong on this one. First of All as Kenyan Ministers said "Somali government was re-established in Maghabaati,Kenya in 2003-2004" but the fact is the Kenyan government at that time where neutral and the Ethiopian government was running the Show with “Warlords-Drug-barons" and Former President Abdullahi Yusuf. From let's say the 80" the different governments of Ethiopia had a plan to sub-divide the Somali Republic in Mini-Clan-Enclaves like Somali-Land , Punt land and Bay-Bakol land,Benadir land and the latest Jubbaland( now called Azania) which General Omar Haji and the Ethiopians could not agree in establishing in 1996-1998. There are two questions now: why the Kenyan which has always supported the Unity and territorial Integrity of Somalia has changed its position and has joined the Ethiopian Idea that Somalia must be sub-divided in Mini-Clan enclaves-Bantustan States run by clans which are fighting against each other as regional- States? What is the financial/economic motivation behind this new policy? And why Amisom which is fighting Al-Shabaab is finding itself isolated with the TFG when is at its best in the War against Al-Shabaab? Why Ethiopia and Kenya are ganging up against Uganda and Burundi both in the East-African Union? All this are big question and I will start with the new creature called” Azania” the brain-child of Mr.Gandi which is the Old game of the Ethiopians with a new name. Mr. Gandi got finances from the French Oil company Total Inc. which he promised the rights of future Oil explorations in Jubbaland and Gedo and (4) four months ago he declared himself President in a Hotel in Nairobi. But now looks he convinced the Kenya establishment that a “satellite regional government” with him as a President will defend the security of Kenya and will cushion against the terror group Al-Shabaab. The only problems is why not pass through the TFG and Amisom and make a multilateral move? Why not use the good offices of the U.N and African Union? From the latest interviews on the BBC things are getting out of hand and it looks there is regional- geopolitical dispute which is getting dirty with Somali clan- connotation and affiliations. Somalia needs real friends who are Fighting Al-Shabaab within the framework of African Union and United Nations but most of All there is a already a contingent of An African Army sanctioned by the International community and I do not think we need two different command centers of African Armies. I believe The African Union and the U.N must intervene fast in this “war of words” before it got out of hand and the enemies of the Rule of Law in Somalia, democratic-federal - institutions come back to run the Somalia Agenda in East Africa. Wait and see.

    President Gelle has been part of IGAD which has been putting into  practice the policies of Meles Zenawi to divide and Rule Somalia.He accepted the idea to sub-divide Somalia in Clan-enclaves-States like Somaliland/Puntland and never objected to the Colonial and Hegemonic plans of Meles in the last 10 years of his power.Now he came to Somalia to defend and protect his friends of ALL-Ittixad business cartels ,Warlords-drug-barons.with his small contingent of Soldiers but not to fight the Terror group Al-Shabaab or to have a real stability and security for Somalia. Just like the countries of the Horn so called IGAD States he profits from Somalia being a perpetual failed State and has got Somaliland economy under control of Jabuti Business people.  All the companies of Somaliland are registered in the Republic of Djibouti to make business in the World and be recognized .Meanwhile all All-Ittixad bussiness cartels, investments from Pirates, from all over Somalia have  bank accounts in Djibouti like Dubai and they have opened their own Bank and made investments in Real estate,Trade in the range of 200 $million.As you see is not in the interest of the small oligarchy who controls Djibouti to have a federal state,Rule of Law and Democracy in the Somali Republic.If tiny Djibouti is using Somalia like this what do you think big countries like Kenya , Ethiopia and Uganda? Wait and see.

China donates equipment to AMISOM

Monday, December 26, 2011 China on Sunday provided a donation worth about 30 million Chinese RMB (around $4.76 million) to the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) in support of the Union's peace building effort in that country. Xie Xiaoyan, the newly appointed Chinese ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative of China to the AU, has handed over the donation to Ramtane Lamamra, AU Commissioner for Peace and Security in a ceremony held at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Speaking on the occasion, Xie said China plays positive role in peace and security of the African continent. He said China continues working with the AU in the area of peace and security on the continent. Ramtane said the donation is another contribution of China in support of AU's peace building effort in Somalia. The Commissioner said the contribution would reinforce the effectiveness and efficiency of AMISOM. He also commended the Chinese government for the donation and expressed hope that China would further cooperate with the AU in peace and security as well as in others areas. The Commissioner particularly told Xinhua that he had a fruitful discussion with the Chinese Ambassador on the strategic partnership between China and the AU. "We have covered a number of grounds including the most important issues in Africa, those governance related crisis and conflicts as well as the crisis and conflicts that we are experiencing in the Horn of Africa and that is essential issues related to Sudan and to Somalia," said the Commissioner. "The signing of this agreement by which the Chinese government is once making yet another contribution to the peace making, and peace building effort which has been developed by the AU through AMISOM. This is indeed an important contribution in kind by China which would reinforce the effectiveness and efficiency of AMISOM by providing AMISOM with some troop protection equipment the focus being on the need for us to rise the level of comfort of protection and security of our peacekeepers and we are glad that China is on position to assist us in that effort," he noted. Lamamra has also stated that China has been cooperating with Africa in different sectors to the development and strengthening of human and institutional capacity of the African continent. "This is not the first contribution and certainly it is not the last one. Very symbolic is we move towards the dedication of the new office and conference complex which is donated by the government of China, one has to remind all of us this significant and steady contribution of China not only to peace and security of the continent, but also to the development and strengthening of the human and the institutional capacity of our continent," said the Commissioner. "This is a strategic partnership that encompasses all fields of activities and our sectors," he said, adding that "as we moved more forward developing our partnership and cooperation, then there will be other achievements in the peace and security as well as in other areas."

Why Somalia is "Doomed to break-away Republics"?

Somalia is in turmoil because the Group of the Warlords-Drug-Barons,All-Ittixad business cartels,Organized crimes groups allied and under the Patronage of Meles of Ethiopia would not like to relinquish Power. The "ouster" of the Notorious Speaker of Federal  Parliament Sharif Hassan and the Garoowe meeting in which " nothing" has been solved are all part of the problem. The Speaker who leads those groups allied to Meles would like to have things "as business as usual" by "choosing" the members of  next federal parliament in June 2012  plus electing their own candidate to President and PM.This Sherrif "Sakiin" group enjoys the support and patronage of  Meles and would like to control Somalia and have it under the Hegemony of Meles.But  unfortunately its not clear who will antagonize them and what agenda they will bring forward. The current President seems playing both cards: allied to Meles and trying to be-friend to the other ant-Meles nationalist group.My humble opinion is if in  the Stakeholders of  this process is not included the Somali Diaspora members,the professionals inside and outside the country,Ahlu- Sunna-Aljameeca ,Women percentage in representations,Young people and honest business representatives it will all fail .The Agenda of the Warlords-Drug barons is to control the process and in that way to have the desired outcome.They are trying  to replicate the Ethiopian experiment in Magabhatii of 2004 in Nairobi,Kenya  when the Parliament was chosen by the Warlords-deg-barons allied to Meles. If the International community ,the Arab league and Turkey accept this "Devil" plan from Garowe and the notorious Speaker sits at the Parliament till next June Somalia is" doomed" and at the end the Plan of Meles will succeed to have four   break-away Republics at the end of 2012 recognized by China,France,Iran,Russia all under the Ethiopian Hegemony.Wait and see.
