The real story is Al-Shabaab has no more the manpower( youngsters-teenagers used as soldiers) it used to have and the finances from the Arab world like Gaddafi and the Arab individual salafist plus the support of the somali/clan communities.More to that the Al-Ittixad business people who are dissatisfied with their radical policies and minimized their financing. Therefore they have decided to change war tactics to a guerrilla war in Mogadishu with assassinations and suicide bombers.
