Mo Farah of GB wins,President Sherif of Somalia Loses.Wait and see.
Last Saturday was a historic night for Somalis
living in Nairobi,Eastleigh the second capital (economically) of the
Somali diaspora. But let me first explain the connection between Mo
Farah the Somali- Briton who won the 10.000 M race on Saturday night
and the so-called president of the Somali Republic Sharif Ahmed.. Mr. Mo
Farah is born in Mogadishu and the other is president of the Somali
republic which has as a capital the City of Mogadishu. One has so
meticulously planned his training and race and has won with ease in the
face of all those east African runners specially the Ethiopians which
thought they "run the show" for very long time.The other has been
manipulated by a Cabala of Somali politicians ( including his own
staff) and came to for presidential race with out all the armory,
tricks and game plan necessary to-win and has a remote control the Ethiopian-Tigre regime One was in London with a
cheering, ecstatic crowd , the other sleeping a sleepless night in a
Nairobi hotel after meeting Hillary Clinton the U.S secretary of State
and his own friends in the "Gang of Six" who revolted against his
political plans.One was a winner the other a loser at lest for the "Time
being"..There there ends the comparisons.
In Somalia we are at the last gasps of a regime which have for at least technically governed Somalia from 2004 and with the blessing and " nominations as puppet leaders" by the Tigre Regime of Ethiopia with the background support of IGAD the regional Authority.. A lot of water has passed under the bridge and the new "Game Plan" of the Tigre Regime and his allies in the region and Globally do not plan to have as Presdent Mr. Sherif Ahmed the incumbent came August 20 -2012 when will be held the election of the new President of Somalia.Why? Why not? What has happened?
Mr. Sherif has followed at length all the suggestions and political "Road map" of the Regional actors and he accepted and promoted the subdivision of Somalia in Beak-away republics . First he de facto recognized as an autonomous state at par with the Somali republic the region of Puntland by permitting them to sit at the same table and signing those "game-plans" called the Roadmap and the Garowe agreements. But more significantly is his the meeting with Mr. Silanyo of the self-declared Republic of Somaliland and signing of a memo as equal partners like two different States.. Mr. Silanyo is another "puppet leader propped up" by the Tigre Regime whose main Agenda is to have a new Republic carved up in the North West of Somalia and sell its Gas and Oil resources to China to have the recognition as a Sovereign State.What a mess the Sheriff has made at all in the hope that by following the Agendas of the Tigre regime of Ethiopia allied to China and Iran he will be promoted to have another four years at the helm of Somalia.More to that he co-signed and accepted a new so- called constitution which will make Somalia a con- federation of states all equal,Clan-enclaves and each one under the hegemony of the Tigre Regime of Ethiopia , China, and Iran.( for background information see my old comments and opinions-analysis from October 2011.(
The main reasons the Somali republic whose-people-citizens speak the same language- Somali which have the same culture-Somali, and same ancestry-Somali but clan based as traditions and culture requires is to be subdivided is to take over its Oil and gas resources. And to do this the Tigre Regime of Ethiopia has for a very long time planned and executed a strategy which the Somali Republic will-be sub-divided in mini-Clan - enclaves all new Republics. The New so- called Constitution has as legal basis that strategy..You will ask why not have one Somalia under the hegemony of Ethiopia? If you have one Somalia the Oil and Gas resources of the Somalis which are the the main reasons Somalia is being subdivided cannot be under the Hegemony of Ethiopia and its allies mainly China and Iran.. From the 40 ' 50 " 60" American and British companies have explored and got concessions( last from the Siad Barre regime) of almost all Somali inhabited territories of East Africa including the Ethiopian region( Halie Selassie time) inhabited by the Somali-speaking called region five which is situated on the East side of the Republic of Ethiopia. First the Ethiopian-Tigre regime would like to control the National resources( Oil and gas) of the Somali Republic and secondly they would like to exploit with out giving the due rights( on any Oil and Gas resources exploitation) the inhabitant-people citizens of region five of Ethiopia. To have all this plans the Tigre must have a sub-divided Somalia in Clan- enclaves new republics and control all the political systems of the Somali Republic in alliance with domestic power brokers like the Somali All-ittixad Business Cartels and Somali puppet leaders/Warlords-Drug-barons.
To came back to my main topic the Tigre regime does not see the incumbent President Sheriff be fitting in their plans because he is not from Puntland and Somaliland and cannot be entrusted with the strategic game to have Somalia sub-divided without any fuss or controversy from the international community. The Tigre need a President who can be said he will execute those plans and tell the whole world that is the way the Somalis would like to live and chosen by them democratically.. Could the Tigre succeed another time in their game Plan? Wait and see..
