Miscellaneous: British on Somalia,Voa Somali missing Borders, Ethiopia and Eritrea.

The British government efforts on Somalia political process and re-establishment of a viable State could be praised . But we must take into account and be aware of those States and Somali Warlords-Puppet leaders which have made Somalia what is now: a totally failed state and a society which its economy and culture are dominated by Salafist groups.We need a long term Partnership between true and honest Somali leaders and the International community,a real Ownership of the process by the Somali people-citizens and the most important subject of National Institution Building , Nation Building in partnership with the Real-friends and brothers of Somalia.States like Turkey,U.S .Egypt,U.K,Saudi Arabia, and Qatar must be part of the process to rebuild the Somali national Army,the public institutions like education and health . The U.N must help the Somalis with a program to re-train the public service like those programs they have done in the 50' and 60" when they participated in preparing the future leaders of Somalia before independence. The Sovereignty ,Unity and territorial integrity of Somalia must be respected by the front-line states like Ethiopia,Kenya and Djibouti. The project of sub-dividing the Somali republic in Mini-Clan -enclaves which are called regional states looking for International recognition must be ended .Somali troubles could have been resolved a long time ago if the regional States mainly Ethiopia have stayed out and not meddled in Somalia Affairs from1991. The meddling of the Ethiopians have helped establish in Somalia the Salafist/Jihadist groups which are now waging an insurgency campaign and controlling large spates of the territory of the Republic as the Al-Shabaab  and All-Ittixad Business cartels which controls all the economy of Somalia and East Africa owned by Somalis. Wait and see.

I have listened to the Voa Somali radio program on new Somali constitution Yesterday about the "missing borders" in the draft constitution. Let me add the Transitional Charter of 2004 made in Maghabati, Nairobi there were not a clear delineations of Borders.There is not also in the new one .Why? For the simple reasons the Ethiopian government would like one day to recognize the so-called regional States of Somali land and Puntland therefore by putting the borders in the new Constitution will hinder that process. If you put the borders in the nw constitution and the Ethiopian government recognizes the Somali State means they recognize also the borders. The other thing is we have borders with Ethiopia and Kenya already by what we call in Law "de facto" which means there are the borders made by he colonial times and are used in all Maps of Somalia and international maps.In other words the borders are there but not recognized by the Somali State of Siad barre and the one of the 60".We must put the borders in the new Somali Constitution "de jure" by Law to forestall any future Ethiopian Agenda and leave in peace with our neighbors.Somalia today and in the future will not have as a plan any territorial ambition but our neighbors must respect our territorial ingrity and our Unity as a Nation -State.Wait and see.

If the regional powers-mostly Ethiopia and IGAD stop meddling in Somali affairs and standing by the Warlords-drug-barons and the so-called Regional Leaders in their secessionist Agendas Somalia will have a hope. If not the things will be more difficult to solve.The Ethiopians and Eritrea would like Somalia to be in this state for a long time to came to cover up their dictatorial regimes and exploit the wars in Somalia to prop up their economies and get Kick backs for their corrupt elites. The Other group is the Salafist/Jihadist which are the Masters of Somalia economy ,education systems,Culture and are fighting against the Somali fragile government.The International community and the Somalis must find concrete plans and strategies to solve all these Problems.Wait and see.
